In the Name of Jesus

Here I sit on vacation. I always manage to take off the entire week this time of year, and I love it. We don’t go anywhere or plan any big events, we just relax and do as little as possible. It’s the best vacation possible for the three of us.
Whenever I’m on a vacation like this, I resist having to do anything. If I want to watch a game or read a book or sleep in, I should be able to do any of those. I’m on vacation! But, when you think about it, doing nothing is still doing something. And, if you’re doing something, there’s a right way to do it.
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17
So, whether you’re doing real work this week or goofing off like me, do it all in the name of Jesus and give thanks to God.
