Digging Deeper
One of the characteristics of a good movie is depth and richness. By that, I mean that the movie never seems shallow or fake. When you pay attention to a certain character or scene, the little details are all there to make it real and enjoyable. You notice new things each time you watch that make the story better or the characters more complex. I love peeling back the layers in movies like this and finding more and more.
It’s also something I love about my relationship with God. He guides me to a new level of relationship with Him and I think, for a moment, that I’m finally getting it and that I’m really connecting. Then, He starts to reveal to me what I can do next.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9
Of course, this process will never end and I absolutely love that! There will never be a day when God says, “That’s it! You’ve reached the end and achieved complete intimacy with Me!” The adventure of searching to know Him better will always be there waiting for me to seek out the next level. This won’t even end in Heaven. We’re just getting a head start on it now.
So, keep digging deeper with God.
