It’s in the Past

I find myself in a constant battle between my success and my failures in regards to my growth. I am an expert in reaching back and sitting on past success while simultaneously whipping myself for my failures. Paul had it right when he spoke about always looking forward while putting things in the past in their proper perspective. If we can focus on the next thing, then we are like the mountain climber looking for the next handhold. Focus on the grip of the future and the past takes care of itself. Day by day, failures get dimmer and success is renewed.
“Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead.” Philippians 3:13
Let the failures go and don’t live on past success.
