“How many wrongs and sins have I committed? Show me my offense and my sin.” Job 13:23

Job was NOT talking to his friends at this point; he was pleading with God. He was ready to repent; he just needed to know what sin to repent of. And God, for the moment, was silent.
I have never experienced this silence. I have read of several old saints who have experienced this. In every recorded case that I am aware of, the silence was temporary. The “long dark night of the soul” always came to an end before death.
